SMS Terms & Conditions

Effective October 30, 2026

These terms apply to the conversational and informational SMS program provided by Moura Law, LLC.

Types of messages

If you consent to receive SMS from Moura Law, LLC, you agree to receive text messages about appointment scheduling and reminders, updates concerning your legal matter, document requests and reminders, and responses to your inquiries. This consent covers these informational and service communications; it does not enroll you in promotional marketing.

How you opt in

You may opt in by entering your phone number, selecting the optional SMS consent checkbox, and submitting our contact form. The checkbox is unchecked by default. Consent is not required to submit the form or receive legal services. We may also obtain your affirmative consent through another documented method before messaging you.

Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies based on your inquiries, appointments, and matter. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Contact your carrier about charges.

How to opt out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message from us. After opting out, you may receive a confirmation message, and further program text messages will stop unless you opt in again. You can also call or email the firm to request that we stop texting you. Opting out does not prevent you from contacting us by phone or email.

Help and support

Reply HELP for help. You can also contact Moura Law, LLC at (203) 617-0707, email info@mouralaw.com, or visit mouralaw.com.

Privacy

SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates. Mobile numbers and opt-in information are not sold or shared for third-party or affiliate marketing. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and protect information and how providers process information on our behalf.

Delivery and use

Delivery depends on carrier and network availability; messages may be delayed or unavailable. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS is not monitored continuously and should not be used for emergencies or urgent legal deadlines. Call the office for time-sensitive matters. Do not send confidential or sensitive records by SMS; ask the firm how to provide them appropriately.

Legal relationship

Signing up for text messages, submitting an inquiry, or receiving a response does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. Text messages do not replace a signed engagement agreement.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Any material change to the types of messages will require any additional consent that is applicable.
